Alix Buffing, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Alix Buffing grew up in Western Oklahoma where her family raises beef cattle and her favorite hobby was showing horses. She attended Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine with the vision of specifically working on equine; until she fell in love with the small animal side of veterinary medicine. The way people include their smaller pets as part of their family made the attachment to this medicine very easy. She graduated from OSU in the Spring of 2017 with the determination to one day open her own small animal veterinary clinic. Hill Country Veterinary Hospital opened its doors in September of 2020 and so began her journey of now being the “boss”. In her off time, she enjoys team roping with her husband and hanging out at their funny farm. She has two bossy Corgis named Annie and Sophie, a handful of awesome Aussies, a Conure named Henry, a Caique named Skip, an Eclectus named Benny, a black Mexican King Snake named Scarlett and too many horses to count. |
Miya WhiteVeterinary Technician
Miya grew up in Randlett, Oklahoma and is currently enrolled at Cameron University where she plans to obtain a BA in Agribusiness Management. Loves to read books, write and further her knowledge on veterinary medicine. Her work began at HCV September of 2022. Her favorite part about being a technician is gaining satisfaction from a smooth IV catheter placement and caring for pets waking up from anesthesia. In her spare time, she offers at-home pet care for all miscellaneous needs. She hopes to make every client and patient feel like family! |
Tabitha KennedyVeterinary Technician
Tabitha grew up in Bellevue, Nebraska where she met her husband who is in the air force, which brought her to Burkburnett. Fulfilling her kindergarten dream of becoming a veterinary technician, she graduated with an AAS in veterinary technology from Iowa Western Community College in 2017. Her deep love for animals persuaded her to have two of her own; Grayson, the happy go-lucky Labrador Retriever & Bruce, the hater of all other species-kind-of-cat. By adding actual humans to the mix, she now has a son named Carver and a daughter named Ridley. Tabitha is a lover of all things veterinary medicine and enjoys keeping every patient happy & healthy! |
Christina DeedsVeterinary Technician
Christina grew up in Palmyra, Virginia and has since lived in various states after marrying her husband who is in the air force. She graduated with an AAS of veterinary technology in 2018 from San Juan College and has worked for many clinics across numerous states. Her favorite thing about the field is radiology and making every sick patient feel like themselves again. She has a large fur family of "misfits" as she likes to call them including four cats; Valka, Pacha, Abu and Spyro, and one Husky named Gideon. With a love for bones and deciphering x-rays, becoming a Radiology Technician is in the near future for Christina! |
Sarah NoeReceptionist
Sarah grew up in Spring, Texas where she later moved to Burkburnett in 2019 to be close to family. Between her love for leopard geckos and squished face breeds, she came to work at HCV in May of 2022. In her free time, she enjoys video games which explains her love for the front desk and technology that no one else seems to understand. We call her our owner personal phonebook. There isn't a clients or pets name that this girl doesn't remember. Sarah hopes to create a friendly presence to every client and patient that walks through the doors and make them feel right at home. |
